Wachira founded the company in 1981 after several years of experience with a leading Reinsurance company in Kenya. Wachira holds a B.Sc. (Business Administration) degree from the United States University of San Diego, California, USA. He is also an investor and a director of prominent tourism and real estate investments across Eastern Africa.
Tom is one of the Pioneers of LIAISON. He holds a B.Com (University of Nairobi), Post Graduate MBA (University of Leicester, UK) and is an Associate of RIMS (Risk and Insurance Management Society, Inc.). Tom is a renowned entrepreneur. He holds leadership positions in several economic and social enterprises across Africa.
Isaac is an Advocate of all Courts of Judicature of Uganda with over twenty years of corporate and general legal practice. He previously worked in private as well internationally listed corporates providing legal, regulatory and public relations advisory services. He has since 2011 re-joined private legal practice and is into commercial agroforestry. He holds a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) Degree of Makerere University and a Post Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice, with certifications in Corporate Governance, Compliance and Regulation, Strategic Leadership, Process Improvement, Disputes Resolution, Capital Markets and Securities’ Investments, Retirement and Pension Funds Management, among other certifications.
Joan joined LIAISON GROUP in 2021. She is a dynamic HR Professional with over 10 years’ International and Regional experience in the Financial Services sector including Insurance, Insurance Brokage, Banking and a Big Four Professional Services firm with depth in distilling business strategy into people priorities through strategic thinking. She has worked in key markets including Hong Kong and Kigali.
Joan is deeply passionate about Talent Management- enabling individuals identify their strengths and opportunities and seeing how to bridge the two.
Sarah joined Liaison Group in 2016 has many years of leadership experience across the insurance sector. She holds a Diploma in Insurance (DIP IIU) from the Insurance Institute of Uganda and a Bachelor of Arts Degree with Education (B.A Educ) from Makerere University Kampala. She has over 10 years’ experience in Insurance service industry and throughout her career has accumulated significant knowledge in risk management and advisory services. She is a member of the Insurance Institute of Uganda.
Fred joined Liaison in 2004. An economist by profession, he has over 25 years’ experience in international pensions and investment consultancy in Eastern Africa. Prior to joining Liaison Fred worked for leading international brands in the banking and insurance sector and also served as a member in the first board of the Kenya Association of Investment Groups (KAIG). As a leading pensions expert plays a key role in pensions consultancy work and has extensive experience throughout the East African region.
Florence joined Liaison Group in 2009 and has accumulated a wealth of experience in audit and finance management. She holds a Bachelors Degree in Business Administration Finance from Nkumba University Uganda. A Certified Public Account CPA (U) and Association of Certified Chartered Accountant (ACCA), she is has specialized in quality and financial controls
Moses is a practitioner of Actuarial Science methodologies specializing in pensions. He has been a member of Liaison Group since 2013 and as such has over 5 years’ experience in Pension Consulting, Retirement Benefits Scheme Data Management, and Pension analysis via SAS, SQL, SPSS and STATA. During his stay at Liaison, Moses has been at the forefront of set up of a number of Pension Schemes in Uganda and has also carried out numerous Scheme sensitizations to Sponsors, Trustees, and Members.
Derrick joined Liaison Uganda in 2018 as part of Liaison Group Academy, He went for a one-year training in Liaison Nairobi Kenya specializing in sales, marketing, strategy formulation, implementation and management. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Science from Makerere University (Uganda) and a certificate of proficiency from IIU (Uganda) and College of Insurance (Kenya). He is the current Business development Consultant and Customer relations at Liaison Uganda Ltd.
Lazarus Imunata join Liaison Group in 2015. He is a practitioner in Risk advisory, Insurance Underwriting and Insurance Claims. Lazarus holds a Certificate in Insurance from Insurance Institute of Uganda and a Degree in Human Resource Management from Makerere University. He is currently pursuing a DIIU qualification with Insurance Institute of Uganda
